Lucern Argeneau is a successful biographer of his family history. His books have been classified as “paranormal romance” and have quite the female fan following. However Lucerne is a recluse that hates crowds and aggressive women.
Kate Leever is the perky new editor who has been assigned by the publishing house to handle the solitary author. Her challenge is to get Lucern to go to several romance conventions so that his fans can meet him. Kate decides to just show up at his home to talk him into attending obviously having no clue that he is a vampire.
Strangely, for a 600 year old vampire, Lucern doesn’t seem to have the whole food supply thing down yet. Where he lives the vampire family has a private blood bank that they use to feed but apparently it doesn’t travel well.
Lucern runs out of blood and in his desperation Kate soon discovers his little secret. Little did Kate know that she would have to spend the convention trying to hide Lucern’s true nature from others while satisfying his appetite.
The book gives a little peek into what goes on at romance conventions. I didn’t know they could be so wild! This book is appealing in that instead of the typical dark, brooding, vampire we get a Lucern who is a big stick in the mud. He’s set in his own ways and he doesn’t like to leave his house. Kate shakes up his world and in return Lucern finds true love. This book is a light and funny romance that will hook you and entice you into reading more of the series.

Oh my God, I laughed my butt off. This is one of the funniest books that I have read in a very long time. Luc is so funny and doesn’t even know. Truley a Jem of a read. I love this whole seres. I even got my husband to read it.
