In this third book of the series Damali believes that Carlos Rivera is dead after the two averted a vampire civil war. Damali and her crew head to Brazil to investigate a series of gruesome killings and encounter a vicious were-demon out for revenge.
The slang dialogue seems to be escalating with each book and just sounds phony. Carlos and Damali finally hook up in a very odd scene only shown from Carlos’s perspective. For two people that are supposed to be in love, Carlos only seems concerned with marking her as his property. The thirty page love scene will have you wishing it was over already.
If you can’t already tell, I just don’t like this series. I give up. If you’re interested in the Vampire Huntress series I suggest you take a look at the author’s website: www.vampirehuntress.com or Amazon.com has a ton of reviews.

THIS SERIES IS THE BEST I’VE READ IN A WHILE HANDS DOWN, BAR NONE. IT IS REFRESHINGLY HIP, UPDATED AND HAS A LOT OF POLITICAL AND CURRENT EVENT COMMENTARY THAT HAS EXPRESSED MY VIEW VERY ACCURATELY.
I LOVE L.A. BANK’S SERIES AND SADDEN THAT WE ARE IN THE FINAL THREE BOOKS. I WISH THIS SERIES COULD GO ON FOR A GOOD FIFTEEN, THAT SOME OF THE OTHER MORE BORING BOOKS SEEM TO GO ON FOR. THE CHARACTERS ARE VERSITAL, HIP, FUNNY AND DOWN RIGHT DELICOUS.

I felt that this whole series just sucked. The only reason I read it was because someone else at work was reading it and I was out of other material. I would not reccommend it to anyone.
