Susan Sizemore: I Burn for You

Sizemore blends science fiction and romance in the first book of her new “Primes” series. Domini Lancer is a bodyguard with psychic abilities. The visions have never really bothered her, but now Alec, the hot, dangerous looking new guy at work has been showing up in her dreams.

After she learns Alec Reynard is a vampire, everything in her life begins to change, calling her own identity into question. Sizemore’s vamps have the usual weaknesses but their origin is explained as a branch of humanity rather than as a result of evil. The term “Primes” for the male vampires however, just makes me think of a juicy steak rather than over the top testosterone fueled hunks. This book tells the history of the vampire clans upon which the series is based.
