This is the story of Ryan Alexander and is the first book in the Blood Legacy series. The book chronicles the six centuries of Ryan’s life as a mortal and as a vampire. Ryan is a beautiful and somewhat asexual vampire who has lived as both man and woman. The book follows her life from childhood as a peasant in the 14th century, to the battle of Agincourt, and the perverse reign of the Borgia Pope’s court.
The story actually begins in present day when Ryan is attacked and badly injured. Susan Ryerson is a medical researcher who discovers that Ryan’s “dead” body has signs of life. She becomes fascinated with the enigmatic creature and quickly becomes drawn into Ryan’s dark and deadly world. Blood Legacy is a totally unique novel. It has a harder horror edge to it that fans of Ann Rice will like.
