William Cuyler Thorne is a southern gentleman vampire. He lives in Savannah, Georgia with his devoted human and not so human servants. He is a wealthy playboy with an endless supply of blood and willing partners to play to his demented fantasies. His companion and right hand man, is his sole offspring Jack McShane. Jack is a former confederate solider and a good old boy. William has been like the father he always wanted but he always keeps a tight reign on his emotions. For over a hundred years, William and Jack have lived in Savannah posing as their own descendents. Life has been good, but after a violent and shocking murder they find that an evil, ancient vampire from William’s past has tracked them down. Reedrek has his own agenda and will stop at nothing to gain the power he is determined to acquire. He’s out to destroy William and what he has in store is more frightening than death could ever be. Jack will also discover just how much William has kept him in the dark regarding his own vampiric powers and the world of the undead.
Raven Hart has a solid hit on her hands with The Vampire’s Seduction. She introduces a world of vampires that is both familiar and new. Most interesting are William’s daytime protectors. Male and female twin shape shifters that are an interesting mix of human and canine. They are the traditional dogs that guarded the pharaoh’s tombs in Egypt. Hart also draws in elements from the dark mysteries of the south using voodoo mambos and their magic to make the story even more fascinating. The excerpt in the back of the book for the next story indicates that this will be a series and carry on the story of Jack, William, and the vampires of America.

I really loved this book, I think it was extremely well-written and flows beautifully. I can’t wait for the next one, and have been surfing the web to find more information on when it will be out. Raven Hart definitely deserves a Bravo! and should be patting herself on the back (or someone should be doing it for her) for a job very well done. Keep writing Raven!

I loved this book! It takes such a different twist from the usual. Great characterization, great action, great love scenes. I just started “The Vampire’s Secret” and fully expect it to be just as good!

Well, the first comment doesn’t really have anything to do with this series . . . why is it on here? Anyways, I felt that this book was an easy read. I like the way the author constructs the story line and ties the characters in with each other. At first I wasn’t quite sure how I felt about each chapter being like a journal entry, but before I knew it, I was hooked and couldn’t put it down. There are some sex scenes, but nothing as terrible or several pages like Anita Blake!
