Definitely Dead is the sixth installment of Charlaine Harris’s Southern Vampire series. Sookie is summoned to New Orleans by the Queen of Louisiana. Sookie’s cousin Hadley (who was the Queen’s lover) has died and she left all her possessions to Sookie. Someone doesn’t want her there and will do anything in their power to stop her from digging into Hadley’s past. Sookie also has a new man in her life, Quinn the weretiger. The sexy, bald Quinn always seems to be around when she is being attacked by unknown assailants. Does he have something to do with all this or is he someone she can finally trust? Sookie has also come to the Queen’s attention which could be a really bad thing because she has plans for Sookie’s special gift of mind reading.
This is another great addition to the Southern Vampire series. Sookie is a character that everyone can identify with. She may be a simple southern girl but she’s nobody’s fool. Harris also gives readers a big surprise about Bill the vampire, Sookie’s first lover. These books are always are always sexy, fun, and humorous. The plot twists and turns will keep you interested until the last page is turned. You can click on the cover above to order from Amazon.com.

Charlaine Harris’s “Definitely Dead” is laugh out loud funny and keeps you guessing till the end. Sookie Stackhouse is courageous and can keep up with her supernatural paramours page for page. Eric and Bill are a riot. This author is great no matter which series you are reading. Check out her Shakespeare series also.

I have enjoyed the Sookie Stackhouse series since book one - Dead Until Dark. None have disappointed me. Sookie is such an engaging character and her love life gets more interesting with each book. Still I would like to see her and Bill become a couple again.

Good question Chesta Boo. Definitely Dead won’t be officially released in the UK until November 2007. However, there are other sellers on Amazon that are selling Definitely Dead right now (probably the US release). Another option is to order from Amazon US and have them ship international. You pay a bit more in shipping but get to have the book much sooner. Good luck!
