Review by Vicky London
No Rest for the Wicked is Kresley Cole’s second book in her Immortals After Dark Series. Kaderin the Coldhearted is a valkyrie who lost all ability to feel emotion a thousand years ago when her sisers were brutally murdered by a vampire. Since then, she has honed her skills hunting and killing the vicious vampires of the Horde. Rumors of a vampire bring her to a castle in Russia where she encounters something unusual, a vampire who wants to die.
Centuries ago, Sebastian Wroth was turned against his will. He burns with self-loathing at the monster he has become. Sebastian has no reason to live until a beautiful blonde creature comes to kill him and ends up bringing him to life instead. Kaderin is overwhelmed with emotions, primarily lust for the gorgeous vampire, and she’s not exactly happy about it. How she can feel something for a creature that is so abominable and whose race is responsible for the loss of her sisters?
Sebastian wants to be with Kaderin forever but he will have to win this fierce warrior’s heart by competing with her in the Hie. The Hie is sort of a supernatural version of The Amazing Race. Competitors travel the globe seeking magical relics in a dangerous and deadly game to amuse a goddess. The prize is the ability to go back in time and if Kaderin wins she may have to choose between her family and the vampire she’s falling for.
Kresly Cole has another sizzling hot bestseller with her supernatural world of the Lore. The valkyries live in a fascinating and unusual world populated with creatures from fairy tales. The next book in the series, Wicked Deeds on a Winter’s Night, will center on a werewolf named Bowen MacRieve who was competing in the Hie to bring back his mate that died.

Ok I have to say this is another very good story from K.Cole but was disappointed when she made a mistake on the location of one of the Hie Competition. Gobi Desert is located in Mongolia and not in Africa.
This is not a small mistake neither should it be treated as an oversight. A quick check from the internet would have bring up the right answer.
I hope the author will apologize to her readers for that.
