Review by Vicky London

Eternal Hunger is the third book in the Candace Steele Vampire Killer trilogy. Candace is brutally attacked by a vampire. Moments away from death, she must make a decision; die or allow Ash to turn her into a vampire. She chooses to live and allows Ash to bring her into his world. Their passionate relationship is rekindled and nothing stands between them any longer. The danger is not past however. Candace’s attacker is Ash’s nemesis, Sloane who is also a member of The Board. Sloane is after the final relic that will allow the members of The Board to complete an ancient Egyptian ritual that will bring them immortality and the power of the god of death.

Candace has the final piece of the puzzle, a symbol with the words needed for the ritual. Ash will do his best to protect her as they are lured into a dangerous confrontation that could give these vampires the ultimate power over humankind. The cost may be higher than Candace is willing to pay and her new hungers threaten to overwhelm her.

**Warning, spoilers**

I found Eternal Hunger to be a disappointing ending to a very interesting trilogy. I just couldn’t buy that Candace could be a vampire temporarily and then return to being human. It was a convenient way for her to avoid coming to terms with her feelings about the nature of vampires. The ending was also pretty tragic. I’m not one to need a happy ending but it was just so sad that these two lovers spent so much time apart and when they finally come together as two of the same nature, Ash is destroyed. At least the author throws us a bone at the end leaving the hope that Candace could find love again, this time with a human. You can order Eternal Hunger by clicking on the Amazon.com link above.
