Review by Vicky London
Night Lost is the fourth book in Lynn Viehl’s Darkyn series. Gabriel Seran has been captured by the fanatical religious order known as the Brethren. Assumed dead by his fellow Kyn, Gabriel endures months of hideous torture at the hands of the so-called priests. Bound and sealed up in the wall of an old French church, the only thing that keeps Gabriel sane are dreams of a lovely young woman who comes to him in a forest.
Nicola “Nick” Jefferson zooms around Europe on her motorcycle posing as a photographer while lifting valuable treasures from churches to fence. Reclaiming her family’s statue called the Golden Madonna is the only thing that matters to her. At each church location she discovers captive vampires, freeing them and enraging the Brotherhood. When Nick rescues Gabriel he seems so familiar; they have met before in the green forest of their dreams. Their meeting is no coincidence. As she helps him recover from his captivity their passion burns even hotter than their in their dreams.
Miles away from France, Dr. Alexandra Keller has been imprisoned in the Irish castle of the Darkyn high lord Richard Tremayne. His humanity is quickly slipping away as his freakish deformity advances along with his cruelty. Alexandra may be the key to not only saving Richard but bringing the Kyn back from the verge of extinction. He will do whatever it takes even if it means pissing off the her man, Michael Cyprien and starting a Kyn civil war. Alexandra has to find a way to help him or they could all pay the price.
Night Lost is a captivating addition to this dark fantasy series. Lynn Viehl is a master of storytelling. She throws in a little twist at the end that will make you feel pretty smug if you’ve been paying close attention. The violence and beauty of the Darkyn world will seduce you and keep you coming back for more.

I just wanted to say that this book is just as great as the other. I was said that it came to an end…and so abruptly. She is definitely good at making the reader want more.
