Howell and Sands are back with their tales of two Scottish vampire clans in Highland Thirst. Heming MacNachton and Tearlach MacAdie are cousins who are afflicted by the same curse. Tales of their strange habits and whispers of vampirism have recently exploded into violence. They set out to search for the enemies of their clan and those who intend to exterminate them. The hunters have the tables turned when they are drugged and captured at an inn. One is taken to the borderlands of Scotland and the other to northern England. Caged and tortured, their only hope is two brave women.
Brona Kerr and Lady Lucy Blytheswood are drawn into the drama of the vampires capture. Neither can leave a man to die so they resolve to save them. In doing so the tie the clans fate to their own. Brona and Kerr must fight for their lives and for the men who who have introduced them to an eternal passion.
