A Taste for Revenge is the second book in Patrice Michelle’s Kendrian series. Ian Moordoor is the new leader of the Ruean clan of vampires. He was appointed leader by the new Vite’ after the previous leader was staked for killing a mortal. Ian is not everyone’s choice for a leader however, since he is half-human and half-vampire. Ian’s skill is hunting and his ability to walk in the daylight makes him very dangerous.
Jaqueline “Jax” Markson is a hunter too. Since her father was murdered by an evil vampire called Drace, she has made it her life’s mission to hunt and kill every vampire she can find. This woman has serious skills and when Ian gets in her way of hunting Drace, she discovers an unlikely partner. Jax is the last person to want or need help but Ian makes a partnership irresistible. They both want to see Drace dead and their chemistry makes ensures they work well together. The only drawback is that Jax doesn’t know Ian is a vampire. Can Ian get her to see that not all vampires are evil? Will Jax set aside her blind hatred to discover a love that could last forever?
A Taste for Revenge is a small story that packs a big punch. This e-book is somewhat short but you won’t feel cheated with this action packed story that is fast paced and has great development of the romantic relationship. Although it can be read alone, it will make more sense when read as part of the series. The heat ramps up to another level in this Kendrian book with an Ellora’s Cave rating of E for erotic.
