Want to attend a ground-breaking online booksigning?

Of course you do! And you’re in luck, because this Saturday is the Crouching Vampire Virtual booksigning, held online in Katie MacAlister’s chat room.

The virtual signing will run for an hour, with moderators (referred to as Minion Wranglers) organizing a question queue for folks to ask Katie questions about Crouching Vampire, or any of her books.

During that time, information will be given how every person who attends the virtual signing can request a specially commissioned bookplate, signed by Katie.

In addition, all attendees will have their names tossed into a drawing pool, the prizes of which will be everything from hand-made notebooks to mugs, book bags, and other fun items.

In order to keep the virtual book signing from being a complete madhouse, the drawings will be conducted after the book signing is over; winners will be notified by e-mail.

Can’t attend the signing and are feeling blue? Drop Katie a line with your name and mailing address, and she’ll send out remaining bookplates on a first-come, first-served basis. She can’t guarantee bookplates for folks who don’t attend the signing, but she’ll send out whatever bookplates are left.
